B-BOP:SPICA成像偏振计

摘要

我们介绍B-BOP仪器,这是未来ESA-JAXA SPICA远红外空间天文台上的偏振相机。B-BOP将凭借其测量亚毫米光线性偏振前所未有的能力,实现对各种天体物理环境中磁场的研究。B-BOP生成的图不仅包含总功率信息,还包含偏振度和偏振角信息,并同时在三个光谱带(70、200和350微米)上获取。B-BOP探测器为超灵敏硅辐射热计,其本身对偏振敏感。其噪声等效功率(NEP)接近10E-18 W/sqrt(Hz)。我们将介绍仪器的光学与热架构,详述辐射热计设计,并基于初步实验室工作展示仪器的预期性能。
