$\pi^0$辐射衰变宽度的新测量

摘要
为了提取衰变宽度,对两种核素C和Pb在入射光子能量为4.9 - 5.5 GeV时前向角光生反应的微分截面进行了高精度测量。该实验在杰斐逊实验室进行,使用了B厅光子标记器和高分辨率多通道量热仪。通过使用最近更新的该过程理论模型拟合测量截面,提取了衰变宽度。得到的衰变宽度值为。总不确定度为2.8%,该结果比当前粒子数据组(PDG)对这一基本量的平均值精确2.5倍,并且与当前的理论预测一致。
