D*(2010)+ 介子宽度及 D*(2010)+ 与 D0 质量差的测量

摘要
我们测量了 D*(2010)+ 与 D0 之间的质量差 \Delta m_0，以及跃迁 D*(2010)+ -> D0 pi+ 的自然线宽 \Gamma。数据由 BABAR 探测器在质心能量处于及接近 Upsilon(4S) 共振区时记录，对应积分亮度约为 477 fb^{-1}。D0 通过衰变道 D0 -> K- pi+ 和 D0 -> K- pi+ pi- pi+ 进行重建。对于衰变道 D0 -> K- pi+，我们得到 \Gamma = (83.4 +- 1.7 +- 1.5) keV 和 \Delta m_0 = (145 425.6 +- 0.6 +- 1.8) keV，其中引用的误差分别为统计误差和系统误差。对于 D0 -> K- pi+ pi- pi+ 衰变道，我们得到 \Gamma = (83.2 +- 1.5 +- 2.6) keV 和 \Delta m_0 = (145 426.6 +- 0.5 +- 2.0) keV。组合测量结果为 \Gamma = (83.3 +- 1.2 +- 1.4) keV 和 \Delta m_0 = (145 425.9 +- 0.4 +- 1.7) keV；该宽度测量的精度比先前值提高了约 12 倍，而质量差测量的精度提高了约 6 倍。
