D*+ 宽度的首次测量

摘要
我们使用 CLEO II.V 探测器在Upsilon(4S) 共振附近收集的 9/fb e+e- 数据，对 D*+ 宽度进行了首次测量。我们的方法使用了先进的跟踪技术和一种重建方法，利用 CESR 束斑的细小垂直尺寸来测量 D*+ -> D0 pi+ 衰变的能量释放分布。我们的初步结果为 Gamma(D*+) = 96 +- 4（统计） +- 22（系统）keV。
