D*+ 介子宽度的首次测量

摘要
我们利用 CLEO II.V 探测器在 Y4S 共振峰附近收集的 9/fb 的 e+e- 对撞数据，对 D*+ 介子的宽度进行了首次测量。我们的方法采用先进的径迹技术和一种利用 CESR 束流斑点垂直尺寸较小的重建方法，来测量 D*+ -> D0 pi+ 衰变的能量释放分布。我们的初步结果为 Gamma(D*+) = 96 ± 4（统计）± 22（系统）keV。
