$\Gamma(D*+)$ 的首次测量

摘要
我们利用 CLEO II.V 探测器在 Upsilon(4S) 共振态附近收集的 9/fb e+e- 数据，首次测量了 D*+ 的宽度。我们的方法使用了先进的径迹探测技术，并利用 CESR 束斑垂直尺寸小的特点，通过重建 D*+ -> D0 pi+ 衰变的能量释放分布进行测量。我们测得 D*+ 宽度为 96+/-4(Statistical)+/-22(Systematic) keV。我们还测量了该衰变中的能量释放，并计算出 m(D*+)-m(D0) = 145.412+/-0.002(Statistical)+/-0.012(Systematic) MeV/c**2。
