摘要
我们概述模型论与一段约150年之久、涉及复分析、代数拓扑与数论且以通用覆盖规范性为核心的解析函数研究之间近期的相互作用。为此，我们以系统且统一的方式讨论若干示例，以表明证明的主要思想以及针对不同情形所需的方法变更：指数覆盖、模曲线与志村曲线、志村簇与阿贝尔簇，以及光滑覆盖的相干族。
