利用 Nab 实验确定非极化中子衰变中的关联

摘要

Nab 实验将以 δλ/λ3×104\delta\lambda/\lambda\sim3\times10^{-4} 的精度测量弱轴矢量与矢量耦合常数之比 λ=gA/gV\lambda=g_A/g_V,并以 ΔbF<103\Delta b_F<10^{-3} 的水平搜寻 Fierz 项 bFb_F。Nab 探测系统使用厚的大面积分段硅探测器,以极高精度符合测量衰变质子的飞行时间与衰变电子的能量,并重建反中微子与电子动量之间的关联。需要极好地理解使用该探测系统影响时间与能量重建的系统效应。为探究这些效应,开展了一系列离位研究,包括利用 UCNA 谱仪在灵敏度较低的 ΔbF<102\Delta b_F<10^{-2} 水平搜寻 45^{45}Ca β衰变中的 Fierz 项。
