摘要
密码锁被广泛用于保护自行车。我们考虑一种由相邻旋转拨盘组成的密码锁，每个拨盘上印有从0开始的非负整数。假设我们知道正确密码且从错误密码开始，若每一步允许将任意数量的相邻拨盘沿同一方向转动一次，那么到达正确密码的最少步数是多少？我们用初等方法回答了这一问题，并展示了它与（多元）函数的一种变体之间的关系。
