磁场诱导自旋去极化下的超冷中子能谱与储存特性

摘要

我们提出了一种 novel 方法,从磁场诱导的自旋去极化测量中提取超冷中子的能谱。该方法同样敏感于用于捕获超冷中子的材料储存特性,具体而言,是碰撞是规律的还是散射的。我们通过比较 n2EDM 实验的两种不同存储腔体,突出显示了该新技术的灵敏性。最后,我们通过与独立测量比较验证了该能谱的极化方式(通过磁场滤波器),并计算了中子中心质量偏移,这是测量中子电偶极矩系统误差的重要因素。
