我们确定了分别容许构造伪积与迹积的范畴和半群上的条件与结构，并尽可能精确地阐明其联系。该主题以 ESN 定理及其对充分半群的推广为模型。与 ESN 的其他一些变体不同，它是自对偶（双侧）的，且放宽了投影可交换的条件。投影构成一个带（在乘法下封闭）这一条件被证明是非常自然的。我们考虑了单侧约化，并与（广义）D-半群作了比较。最后考察了范畴为群胚的特殊情形。
