单分子 DNA 和 RNA 实验的理论模型:从弹性到解链

摘要

我们综述了关于单分子微操作实验中核酸的统计力学理论。首先介绍描述聚合物弹性的模型。随后回顾了这些模型如何用于解释对单链和双链 DNA 的单分子力伸展实验的解释。 Depending on the force and the molecules used, both smooth elastic behaviors and abrupt structural transitions are observed. Third, we show how combining the elasticity of two single nucleic acid strands with a description of the base-pairing interactions between them explains much of the phenomenology and kinetics of RNA and DNA `unzipping' experiments.
