摘要
我们将长度的概念推广到一个定义在诺特环上有限生成模类上的序数值不变量。该不变量的一个关键性质是在短正合列上的半可加性。我们展示了如何通过模的基本循环来计算这个组合不变量，从而将子模格与模的同调性质联系起来。利用这一点，我们为每个模配备了其典范拓扑。
