摘要
我们报告了位于美国南达科他州 Lead 市 Sanford 实验室的大型地下氙（LUX）暗物质探测器的设计、建造和调试情况。从 2007 年启动，到 2009-2010 年在 Lead 的地面实验室建造，2011 年运行，以及 2012 年重新安装至地下 1 英里深处，我们回顾了已取得的相关成果，并展望了 LUX 如何在 2013 年成为该领域最灵敏的探测器。
