LUX 是一个两相(液/气)氙时间投影室,旨在探测由与暗物质粒子相互作用产生的核反冲。来自探测器的信号通过基于 FPGA 的数字触发系统进行处理,该系统以仅几微秒的延迟实时分析输入数据。该系统基于脉冲形状特征和相互作用的 3D 定位实现对感兴趣事件的初次筛选。已证明其对仅由少数提取的液体电子诱导的 S2 信号触发的效率 >99%。自 2013 年初完全地下部署以来,它持续可靠运行。本文档概述了该系统的能力、内部工作机制及其性能。
