M4 中白矮星冷却序列的末端：一种高效方法

我们利用 14 个轨道的 ACS 观测数据，达到了球状星团 M4 中白矮星冷却序列的末端。我们的测光与完备性测试表明，该末端位于星等 m_F606W = 28.5+/-0.1 处，这意味着其年龄为 11.6+/-0.6 Gyr（仅为内部误差）。这与主序转折点拟合得出的年龄（12.0+/-1.4 Gyr）相一致。
