年老疏散星团NGC 2158中白矮星冷却序列的底端

摘要
我们利用先进巡天相机的10个轨道观测，达到了太阳金属丰度疏散星团NGC 2158中白矮星冷却序列的末端。我们的测光数据和完备性测试表明，该末端位于m_F606W = 27.5 ± 0.15星等，这对应的年龄约为1.8至2.0 Gyr，与通过主序转折点拟合得到的1.9 ± 0.2 Gyr年龄一致。最暗的白矮星显示出明显的向蓝端转折，这与理论等时线的预测相符。
