摘要
我们引入一种“中间 branched 数”（IBN），用以刻画中间增长树的 branched 特性，其精神类似于被充分研究的指数增长树的 branched 数。我们证明 IBN 是树上若干随机过程的临界阈值，并分析了一些引人关注例子中的 IBN。我们的主要结果是一个算法，可在某些置换圈积中寻找具有大 IBN 的球对称树。我们利用这些树得到了某些中间增长群上消防员问题的首个紧界，从而展示了它们对中间增长群研究的有用性。
