Correlates of War 项目在漫长的历史时期内细致地收集了关于国家间争端的信息，以及其他与国际冲突的性质和原因相关的数据。利用在 R 统计软件中实现的现代数据科学方法，我们研究了该项目提供的数据集。我们探讨了政治、经济和宗教因素与国家间冲突和战争爆发之间的关系。所得结果对所考虑因素之间的方差和因果关系得出了某些结论。并展示了一些不可预测的特征。
