On transfer inequalities in Diophantine approximation

摘要

Let Θ\Theta be a point in Rn{\bf R}^n. We split the classical Khintchine's Transference Principle into n1n-1 intermediate estimates which connect exponents ωd(Θ)\omega_d(\Theta) measuring the sharpness of the approximation to Θ\Theta by linear rational varieties of dimension dd, for 0dn10\le d \le n-1. We also review old and recent results related to these nn exponents.
