摘要
研究表明，时空的各种病态性质可以用负质量的存在来解释，包括解的总质量为正值的情况。作为说明，我们考虑了爱因斯坦-麦克斯韦方程的若干著名的稳态轴对称真空和电真空解。我们的研究自然导致对Kerr和Kerr-Newman时空的已知最大延拓的批评，这些延拓既非解析也非物理上有意义。
