我们研究 Smith~\cite{Smith2005} 给出的一组截断矩阵，涉及我们提出的希尔伯特第十问题量子绝热算法中基态的辨识判据。我们辨识出该截断例子的困难根源，并表明对于某个参数的合适选择，它总可被消除。我们还论证这仅是底层希尔伯特空间截断的假象，通过展示其对这种截断可用的不同边界条件的敏感性。我们主张该判据一般而言在满足某些条件时应可适用。我们还指出，除这一个外，服务于同一辨识目的的其他判据也可能存在。
