成核与台阶边缘势垒总是使邻位表面的台阶流动生长失稳

摘要
我们考虑了成核对一维台阶表面的影响,发现对于任意强度的附加台阶边缘势垒,台阶流动生长均是亚稳态的。表面因临界核的形成而变得不稳定,其横向尺寸与高对称度表面上的失稳过程相关。基于高度为二的临界核的论点(暗示了在势垒较小时存在完全稳定的区间)无法描述这一现象。
