一种基于边缘分析的快速新颖车牌定位算法

摘要
如今在发展中国家或发达国家，智能交通系统（ITS）技术已引起广泛关注。车牌识别（LPR）系统在 ITS 中有许多应用，例如停车费支付、交通流量控制、交通数据采集等。本文提出了一种基于边缘分析的车牌提取新方法。我们提出的方法包含四个阶段：边缘检测、无用边缘与噪声去除、边缘分析以及基于形态学的车牌提取。在结果部分，将该算法应用于车辆数据库，准确率达到 98%。实验结果表明，该方法为实际车牌识别系统提供了相当可接受的准确度水平。
