NICT 面向 WMT18 新闻翻译任务的神经与统计机器翻译系统

摘要
本文介绍 NICT 参与 WMT18 共享新闻翻译任务的情况。我们参与了四个语言对的八个翻译方向：爱沙尼亚语-英语、芬兰语-英语、土耳其语-英语和汉语-英语。对于每个翻译方向，我们准备了最先进的统计机器翻译（SMT）与神经机器翻译（NMT）系统。我们的 NMT 系统采用 transformer 架构训练，使用的并行数据由所提供的平行数据扩充而来，扩充数据为我们以一种新的增量训练框架所生成的大量回译单语数据。我们向该任务提交的主系统是我们的 SMT 与 NMT 系统简单组合的结果。根据 BLEU-cased 指标，我们的系统在爱沙尼亚语-英语与芬兰语-英语语言对（受限条件）上排名首位。
