NGTS-12b:一颗在7.53天轨道上运行的亚土星质量凌星系外行星

摘要
我们报告了下一代凌星巡天(NGTS)发现的凌星系外行星NGTS-12b。其宿主恒星NGTS-12是一颗V=12.38等的恒星,有效温度T= K。NGTS-12b以周期天轨道运行,是迄今主NGTS巡天发现周期最长的行星。我们利用从TESS全帧图像中提取的数据验证了NGTS凌星信号,并结合HARPS和FEROS的视向速度测量,确定NGTS-12b的质量为 M、半径为 R。当考虑恒星性质时,NGTS-12b位于海王星沙漠边缘,凸显了研究沙漠时同时考虑行星与恒星的重要性。NGTS-12b的长周期及其仅 g cm的低密度,使其成为通过透射光谱进行大气表征的有吸引力的目标,其透射光谱度量值为89.4。
