Leidenfrost 效应——液滴在过热表面上的 prolonged 蒸发——仅在表面温度高于某个特定过渡值时发生。在此，我们展示了经过特殊设计的液滴——液体弹珠——可以在任何过热温度下（实验中测试高达 465 oC）表现出类似效应，而无需过渡。这种现象很可能是由于液体弹珠是涂覆有微粒的液滴，这些微粒有助于使液体核心悬浮，并在液体与过热表面之间维持绝缘层。
