1T-TaS$_2$ 中 Mott 绝缘 CDW 态的辨识

摘要
我们利用完全自洽的 DFT+U 方法研究了块体 TaS 的低温电荷密度波(CDW)态，关于其面外金属带的争议一直悬而未决。通过考察 Hubbard U 势的固有结构，我们揭示传统原子轨道基组的使用会严重误估 CDW 态中的电子关联。通过采用覆盖整个 David 星的广义基组，我们成功再现了具有层间反铁磁序的 Mott 绝缘本质。类似考量应应用于分子固体中电子关联的描述。
