设 为 noetherian 局部环。众所周知， 正则当且仅当 的内射维数有限。本文证明了 为 Gorenstein 当且仅当 的 Gorenstein 内射维数有限。另一方面，对具有有限 Gorenstein 内射维数的有限生成模，证明了所谓 Bass 公式的一个推广版本。它也改进了 Christensen 的广义 Bass 公式（见《Gorenstein dimensions》，Lecture Notes in Mathematics 第 1747 卷，Springer-Verlag，Berlin，2000）。
