Godement 余单纯解消适用于广泛的层范畴。本文研究了在 Grothendieck 位和系数范畴的何种条件下，可利用该解消获得纤维模型，从而进行层同伦论研究。例如，针对哪些 Grothendieck 位和系数，可以通过它定义层上同调和导出函子。
