摘要
本文对 M-PIRO 项目进行整体性介绍。M-PIRO 正在开发技术，使博物馆能够自动生成展品的文本或口头描述，这些描述可在通过 Web 或虚拟现实环境获取的藏品中使用。描述以多种语言生成，基于语言独立的数据库中的信息和少量文本片段，用户可根据其背景、年龄以及与系统的之前交互情况对描述进行个性化调整。作者工具允许博物馆策展人更新系统的数据库并控制最终描述的语言和内容。虽然该项目仍在进行中，但已有一个支持英语、希腊语和意大利语的 Web 基于演示系统已可用，并在全文中用于突出这项新兴技术的功能。
