用于 n2EDM 实验磁屏蔽室内生成高度均匀磁场的线圈系统

摘要

我们 presented 用于 n2EDM 实验(位于 Paul Scherrer 所罗门仕研究所)生成高度均匀磁场的线圈系统。该系统由主 B0B_0 线圈和一组安装在侧长 273 cm 的立方体结构上的辅助线圈组成,位于一个大型磁屏蔽室(MSR)内。我们组装了该系统并通过映射机器人对其性能进行了表征。该装置能够在感兴趣体积内产生 1 μ\muT 的垂直磁场,其相对均方根偏差 σ\sigma (BzB_z)/BzB_z = 3 ×\times 10510^{-5},该感兴趣体积为半径为 40 cm、高度为 30 cm 的圆柱体。该均匀性水平超过了 n2EDM 的要求,使其能够以比 1 ×\times 102710^{-27} ecm 更好的灵敏度测量中子电偶极矩。
