对μ子永久电偶极矩的高灵敏度寻找

摘要

我们提出一种新方法,以 102410^{-24} e cm 量级的灵敏度开展对μ子永久电偶极矩(EDM)的专门寻找。该实验设计利用了相对论性粒子在磁存储环中感受到的强大运动电场。作为一项关键特征,我们发明了一种利用径向电场补偿 g-2 进动的新技术。当μ子存储环和μ子对撞机的开发者所倡导的强流μ子源成为可用时,这项技术将极大受益。
