μ子电偶极矩的改进限值

摘要

利用布鲁克海文国家实验室 μ子 g-2 储存环的自旋进动数据,我们对正μ子和负μ子的电偶极矩(EDM)进行了三次独立搜索。本文给出了实验装置和三次分析的详细信息。由于正μ子和负μ子的各自结果以及合并结果 d=-0.1(0.9)E-19 e-cm 均与零一致,我们设定了新的 μ子 EDM 限值,|d| < 1.9E-19 e-cm(95% C.L.)。这比之前最佳的 μ子 EDM 限值提高了 5 倍。
