Flu Detector：从在线用户生成内容估计流感样疾病发生率

摘要
我们简要介绍了一个用于疾病监测的在线平台的技术描述，该平台名为 Flu Detector (fludetector.cs.ucl.ac.uk)。Flu Detector 的当前版本 (v.0.5) 使用 Twitter 或 Google 搜索数据，结合统计自然语言处理模型来估计英格兰人群的流感样疾病发生率。其后端是一项实时服务，负责收集在线数据，利用现代技术进行大规模文本处理，最后应用离线训练的统计推断模型。前端可视化各种疾病发生率的估计值。值得注意的是，基于 Google 数据的模型在英格兰最近四个流感季（2012/13 至 2015/16）中达到了很高的准确度。这凸显了 Flu Detector 极具潜力成为国内传统流感监测方案的补充来源。
