LHCb 缪子系统原型 RPC 老化测试的初步结果

摘要
介绍了在 CERN 伽马辐照设施上对为 LHCb 缪子系统开发的单气隙 RPC 原型进行老化测试的最新结果。该结果基于约 0.45 C/cm 的累积电荷,相当于以最高本底速率运行 LHCb 约 4 年。利用缪子束在不同光子通量值下研究了该室的性能。观察到在 1 kHz/cm 以上时速率能力退化,这可与室极板电阻率的显著增大相关联。还观察到室暗电流的增加。发现该室性能满足 LHCb 运行要求。
