基于电木电阻板室广泛老化测试的新结果

摘要
我们给出了在 CERN Gamma Irradiation Facility 对两个为 LHCb Muon System 开发的单气隙 RPC 原型进行广泛老化测试的最新结果。基于描述高粒子通量条件下 RPC 行为的模型方法,我们在三年间周期性测量了两个 RPC 原型的电极电阻 R:观察到 R 随时间自发大幅增长,从约 2 MOhm 初始值增至超过 250 MOhm。同时也发现相应的 RPC 速率能力退化,从超过 3 kHz/cm2 降至低于 0.15 kHz/cm2。
