CMS 实验第一次长期停机期间安装的电阻板室性能

摘要

位于 CERN 大型强子对撞机的 CMS 实验拥有一个冗余 μ 子系统,由三种不同的探测器技术组成:阴极条带室(在前向区域)、漂移管(在中央区域)和电阻板室(在中央和前向区域)。这三种都用于 μ 子重建和触发。在 LHC 第一次长期停机(LS1,2013-2014)期间,CMS μ 子系统在第四前向站升级安装了 144 个新安装的 RPC。新腔室确保并增强了 LHC Run2 高亮度条件下的 μ 子触发效率。这些腔室已成功安装和调试。系统已成功运行,实验数据已被收集和分析。将展示新安装 RPC 的性能结果。
