地下千米级引力波观测台KAGRA的首次低温测试运行

摘要

KAGRA是在日本岐阜县神冈建造的臂长3公里的二代干涉式引力波探测器。其目前处于我们称之为bKAGRA(基线KAGRA)的最终安装阶段,预计于2019年底开始科学观测。KAGRA的优势之一是其位于地面以下至少200米的地下位置,这带来了低频段较小的地震运动以及探测器的高稳定性。另一优势是将蓝宝石测试质量镜冷却至低温以降低热噪声。在2018年4月至5月,我们运行了一个带有低温测试质量的3公里迈克尔逊干涉仪长达10天,这是千米级干涉仪首次在低温下运行。本文报道了此次“bKAGRA第一阶段”运行的结果。我们证明了带低温镜片的3公里干涉仪对齐与控制的可行性。
