XENON1T在MeV能量范围内的能量分辨与线性

摘要

旨在搜寻弱相互作用大质量粒子的氙双相时间投影室,由于饱和效应,迄今在约200 keV以上能量处相对能量分辨率随能量退化。这限制了其在搜寻136^{136}Xe无中微子双贝塔衰变等稀有事件(其QQQββQ_{\beta\beta}\simeq 2.46 MeV)时的灵敏度。对于XENON1T双相时间投影室,我们证明在1吨 fiducial 质量中,针对QββQ_{\beta\beta}处的单点相互作用,相对能量分辨率(1 σ/μ\sigma/\mu)低至(0.80±\pm0.02)%。我们还提出一种新的信号校正方法以修正信号读出系统的饱和效应,从而获得更精确的位置重建并间接改善能量分辨率。XENON1T所取得的极好结果,为氙双相暗物质探测器同时搜寻其他稀有事件打开了新窗口。
