吨级 NEXT 探测器对无中微子双β衰变搜寻的灵敏度

摘要

氙 TPC 中微子实验(NEXT)利用具有电致发光放大的高压氙气 TPC 搜寻 Xe-136 的无中微子双β衰变。该技术放大版本约含 1 吨富集氙,在少于 5 年的运行时间内可达到优于 1E27 年的无中微子双β衰变半衰期灵敏度,将当前极限至少提高一个数量级。该预测基于以放射性来源为主导的、已被充分理解的本底模型。此处提出的探测器概念代表了迈向由中微子质量反序所定义的参数空间及更远灵敏度这一引人注目路径的第一步。
