电场诱导的向列相 tactoid 形状转变

摘要
液晶新织构的出现是调控其光学和光子学性质的重要因素。在此,我们通过实验和数值计算表明,在电场下甲壳素 tactoids(即向列相液滴)可拉伸至长宽比大于15,从而导致从纺锤状到雪茄状的形状转变。我们认为,这种大延伸的发生是因为对自由能的弹性贡献由锚定主导。我们证明该伸长涉及流体动力流且是可逆的,移除电场后 tactoids 恢复其原始形状。
