我们关注与嵌入单模腔中的半导体或绝缘体的极化子激发相互作用的原子的发射特性。由于腔内极化子表现出本征压缩，我们讨论了被压缩的极化子基态如何改变原子发射，以及如何可能获得腔外极化子压缩的间接证据。
