冷原子的偏振压缩

摘要
我们研究了近共振线偏振激光束与高精细度光学腔中冷铯原子云的相互作用。我们从理论和实验上表明，由于光学跃迁饱和引起的交叉Kerr效应，在平均场和正交偏振真空模式上都会产生正交分量压缩。给出了这种真空压缩作为偏振压缩的解释，并开发了一种通过本地振荡器测量弱光束量子Stokes参数的方法。
