SOXS仪器的动态调度:环境、算法与开发

摘要

我们展示了位于ESO-NTT 3.58米望远镜上的Son Of X-Shooter(SOXS)仪器的调度器开发进展。SOXS将是一台单目标光谱设施,由双臂高效率光谱仪组成,覆盖350-2000纳米光谱范围,平均分辨本领R≈4500。SOXS将专门用于对天体物理暂现源进行紫外-可见光与近红外后随观测,其可用目标来自当前及未来宽视场望远镜的流媒体服务,目标池极为广泛。该仪器将服务于天体物理界多种科学目标,每种目标对观测规划有特定要求,观测调度器必须满足这些要求。根据欧洲南方天文台(ESO)的指示,该仪器仅由拉西拉站工作人员操作,山上不驻守天文学家。这对调度过程提出了新挑战,需要一种完全自动化的算法,不仅能向操作员提供最优目标的有序列表,还能在观测条件变化时提供最优备份方案。这要求调度器具备快速响应能力,且不牺牲优化过程,以保障观测质量。本文介绍了已基本完成的调度器及其网络界面的当前状态。
