凌星行星Kepler-5b的发现

摘要
我们展示了13等星Kepler-5(KIC 8191672,有效温度=6300 K,表面重力加速度对数=4.1)的44天高占空比、超高精度测光数据,该星体呈现出深度为0.7%的周期性凌星现象。对凌星的详细建模与一颗轨道周期为3.548460±0.000032天、半径为1.431±0.050倍木星半径的行星伴星一致。利用凯克望远镜HIRES光谱仪在9个独立夜晚进行的后续径向速度测量表明,该行星的质量是木星的两倍以上,为2.114±0.057倍木星质量,平均密度为0.894±0.079克/立方厘米。
