Dimensions：Scopus 与 Web of Science 的竞争者？

Dimensions 是 Digital Science 于 2018 年 1 月推出的一个部分免费的学术数据库。Dimensions 包含期刊论文和引文计数，使其成为一种潜在的新的影响力数据来源。本文从影响力评估的视角探讨了 Dimensions 的价值，考察了 2008-2018 年间的食品科学研究以及 2012 年来自 Scopus 的 10,000 篇论文的随机样本。结果表明，Scopus 和 Dimensions 的引文计数之间存在高度相关性（2012 年在细分领域内为 0.96），且平均计数相似。几乎所有带有 DOI 的 Scopus 论文都能在 Dimensions 中找到（2012 年为 97%）。因此，对于一般的引文分析以及支持某些类型研究评估的引文数据而言，Dimensions 的学术数据库组件似乎是 Scopus 和 Web of Science 的一个可行替代方案。
