Chan、Durrett 与 Lanchier 引入了一种具有时间异质性的多类型接触过程，涉及两个物种在 d 维整数格上竞争空间。时间被划分为两个季节。他们证明了存在一族参数的开集，当扩散范围足够大时两物种可共存。数值模拟暗示三个物种可在两季存在时共存。本文的核心要点是证明该猜想不正确。为此，我们证明了一个更一般 ODE 模型的结果，并将其行为与其他已研究的 related 系统对比，以理解竞争排斥原理。
