在强耦合极限下求解了 Bogoliubov-de Gennes (BdG) 方程，其中实空间（预形成）配对玻色-Condensed with finite center-of-mass momenta. 该 regime has two energy scales, a temperature independent incoherent gap and a temperature dependent coherent gap , modulated in real space. The single-particle density of states (DOS) reveals checkerboard modulations similar to the tunnelling DOS in cuprates.
