CAST对轴子-电子耦合的限制

摘要

在非强子轴子模型中,存在树级轴子-电子相互作用,太阳通过轫致辐射、康普顿散射和轴子复合(即“BCA过程”)产生强轴子通量。基于对这一通量的新计算(首次包含轴子复合),我们利用CAST第一阶段数据(真空阶段)推导出对轴子-电子汤川耦合g_ae和轴子-光子相互作用强度g_ag的限制。对于m_a < 10 meV/c²,我们在95%置信水平下得到g_ag × g_ae < 8.1 × 10⁻²³ GeV⁻¹。我们强调,下一代轴子日冕仪(如提议的IAXO)可以将这一灵敏度推至超越恒星能量损失极限的范围,并检验白矮星冷却由轴子发射主导的假说。
